Jordan Hosts the World Economic Forum

The World Economic Forum took place in the heart of the Dead Sea for the 9th time from the 21st till the 23rd May 2015, with full support and presence of Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania. More than 800 leaders and ministers from 180 countries attended this conference.

His Majesty King Abdullah opened the World Economic Forum reaffirming his commitment to reform and investment to achieve regional prosperity and peace. He mentioned that “Our 10-year economic blueprint – Jordan’s 2025 – will enable us to move fast to diversify resources, to develop infrastructure, and capitalize on strengths.”

The World Economic Forum publishes a comprehensive series of reports which examine in detail the broad range of global issues it seeks to address with stakeholders as part of its mission of improving the state of the world. Besides reports on its key events and standalone publications such as the Global Competitiveness Report, the Global Risks Report and the Global Gender Gap Report, the Forum produces landmark titles covering the environment, education, individual industries and technologies.

The topics discussed reflect Jordan’s commitment to the region’s challenges and realizing it’s true potential through building a productive and investing in human capital and talents.
