Robert Day

We enjoyed a pleasant day with Khaled who is a safe driver, and he kindly looked after my wife May who could not walk easily because she has a bruised heel on her right foot. Jerash is much larger than we expected and much to see there. We were at Jerash from 10 am.to 12.30 pm. Khaled drove us to near to Ajlun Castle so we could see the castle from a distance, but we had walked so much around Jerash that we decided to return to Amman old city to explore the Citadel and visit the Citadel museum.

Khaled then drove us into the old city, assisted us to purchase cups of fresh pomegranate juice at JD 1.00 per medium size cup. It was much cheaper and better quality than pomegranate juice which we purchased at Jericho 10 days ago. Khaled then took us to Jerusalem Restaurant where we enjoyed a late afternoon lunch.

It was an enjoyable day and we learned much about Jerash, also about the long, colourful history of Jordan.

Thank you,
