Day 2, Amman/ Jerash/ Ajlun/ Um Qais/ Amman (225 km)

After breakfast, your private tour of Jordan starts with a visit to the Greco-Roman City of Jerash, also known as the city of the thousand columns. Jerash showcases the grandeur of Imperial Rome (and is sometimes referred to as the Pompeii of the East). It is considered one of the largest and most well-preserved sites of Roman architecture in the World outside Italy. As the most pristine Decapolis City (meaning ten cities in Greek) in the modern world, Jerash’s prosperity can be admired in the collonaded main street and lovely Oval Piazza. Visit the town of Ajlun with its fortress; one of the best-preserved examples of medieval Arab military architecture in the entire Middle East, which was once governed by Saladin. Enjoy the magnificent view of the Jordan Valley. Proceed to visit Umm Qais, a city rich with black basalt ruins of the Hellenistic era when it was known as Gadara: a hilltop site in the northwest corner of Jordan with grand views of the Golan Heights and Lake Tiberius (the Sea of Galilee). Day 3 — Amman City Tour/ Desert Castles/ Amman (200 km)

After breakfast, departure to visit the ruins of the Amman Roman theatre, the Citadel and the Umayyad Palace, the tour includes visits to the Archaeological and Folklore Museums. Day 4, Amman/ Madaba/ Mt Nebo/ Wadi Mujib/ Shoback/ Petra (285 km)

Start by visiting the Christian Town of Madaba “The City of Mosaics”. Day 2 , Amman Special City Tour (24 km)

In the morning, start your private Jordan tour by enjoying a traditional breakfast at a local restaurant as everyday Jordanians do. Visit the King Abdullah mosque and drive to the downtown area to visit the ruins of the Amman Roman theatre, the Citadel and the Umayyad Palace. The tour includes visits to the Archaeological and Folklore Museums and a short walk through the souks and markets culminating in a visit to the Jordan Museum. Explore the city further and proceed to the Rainbow Street, one of Amman’s oldest suburbs with very interesting architecture from the 20th century. The ancient city was founded by the Nabateans 2000 years ago. Its massive architectural structure and its multicoloured stones are an incredible attraction. The visit of the ancient Nabatean capital starts on horseback, followed by a walk through the Siq, a long narrow fissure between two overhanging cliffs. Towards the end of the Siq, you will be spellbound by Petra’s most famous monument; the Treasury. The tour then proceeds to gradually unfold the mysteries of the city. Overnight at hotel.
