Day 2, Amman/ Jerash/ Ajlun/ Um Qais/ Amman (225 km)

Breakfast. Depart Amman to visit the Greco-Roman City of Jerash, also known as the City of the thousand columns. Jerash showcases the grandeur of Imperial Rome (and is sometimes referred to as the Pompeii of the East). It is considered one of the largest and most well preserved sites of Roman architecture in the World outside Italy. As the most pristine Decapolis City (meaning ten cities in Greek) in the modern world, Jerash’s prosperity can be admired in the colonnaded main street and lovely Oval Piazza. Visit the town of Ajlun with its fortress; one of the best preserved examples of medieval Arab military architecture in the entire Middle East, which was once governed by Saladin. Enjoy the magnificent view into the Jordan Valley. Proceed to visit Um Qais, a city rich with black basalt ruins of the Hellenistic era in which it was known as Gadara, a hilltop site in the north-west corner of Jordan with grand views of the Golan Heights and Lake Tiberius (the Sea of Galilee). Um Qais is also famous for being one of the ten cities that belonged to the Decapolis. Return to Amman. Overnight at hotel

Day 3 — Amman City Tour/ Desert Castles/ Amman (200 km)

After breakfast, departure to visit the ruins of the Amman Roman theatre, the Citadel and the Umayyad Palace, the tour includes visits to the Archaeological and Folklore Museums. Free time in the old down town area of the city for walking/shopping then transfer to the Desert Castles. Visit Qasr Amra, Al Azraq and Al Kharaneh and return to Amman. Overnight at hotel

Day 4, Amman/ Madaba/ Mt Nebo/ Wadi Mujib/ Shoback/ Petra (285 km)

Breakfast. Depart Amman for a whole day tour to explore the King’s highway, which was once, part of the ancient Silk Road. Start by visiting the Christian Town of Madaba “The City of Mosaics”. You will be visiting the St. George church with its mosaic map of the Holy Land from Byzantine times, and the Archaeological Park, which houses the remains of several Byzantine churches, including the amazing mosaics of the Church of the Virgin. The park complex includes a school for the restoration and conservation of ancient mosaics, then take a detour to visit the Monastery in Mount Nebo. Proceed south via Wadi Al Mujib, a deep valley holding one of Jordan’s most breathtaking views. Visit the Shoback castle with its diverse history dated from the Byzantine to the Mamluk period. Breakfast, then morning tour of Petra, The Rose Red City of the Nabateans. Start your guided tour with a horse ride up to the Siq and proceed to explore this amazing world heritage site. Day 6, Petra/ Beida/ Wadi Rum (140 km)

Breakfast then late morning transfer to Beida, also known as Little Petra, and the place where the Nabateans used to entertain their guests. Proceed with your tour south to the enchanting desert of Wadi Rum, Jeep tour inside the Wadi until sunset. Enjoy the view while drinking a cup of traditional Bedouin tea. Transfer to the Bedouin camp area deep inside the desert for a traditional barbecue dinner, and overnight at camp.

Day 7, Wadi Rum/ Dead Sea (330 km)

Day 2 , Amman Special City Tour (24 km)

In the morning, clients enjoy a traditional Jordanian breakfast at one of the local restaurants. Visit the King Abdullah mosque and drive to the downtown area to visit the ruins of the Amman Roman theatre, the Citadel and the Umayyad Palace. The tour includes visits to the Archaeological and Folklore Museums and a short walk through the souks and markets culminating in a visit to the Jordan Museum. Explore the city further and proceed to the Rainbow Street, one of Amman’s oldest suburbs with very interesting architecture from the 20th century. After lunch, clients enjoy a short walk in the street with an option to visit the small antique and local shops. Transfer back to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3 , Amman/ Madaba/ Mt. Nebo/ Dead Sea (80 km)

Day 4 , Dead Sea/ Petra Visit (200 km)

Breakfast. Depart the Dead Sea south to Petra for a full day visit of the city. We will start our journey to explore Petra, aptly described as the “rose-red city, half as old as time”. The ancient city was founded by the Nabateans 2000 years ago. Its massive architectural structure and its multicolored stones are an incredible attraction. The visit of the ancient Nabatean capital starts on horseback, followed by a walk through the Siq, a long narrow fissure between two overhanging cliffs. Towards the end of the Siq, you will be spellbound by Petra’s most famous monument; the Treasury. The tour then proceeds to gradually unfold the mysteries of the city. Overnight at hotel.

Day 5 , Petra/ Beida/ Wadi Rum (130 km)

Proceed to the old town of Salt, which is situated 29 km north of Amman.
